take a look at my moving image works
2024
The aim is to expose how easily authority, scientific language, and AI-generated elements can mislead viewers. The project reflects on fake news, deepfake, and the declining habit of critical observation.
My practice in fashion photography draws on my background in fine art photography and my ongoing exploration of the grotesque.
I approach the fashion image not as a surface of display, but as a constructed psychological space. Clothing becomes part of a visual language rather than a product, a tool to shape tension, character, and psychological depth.
I am interested in the point where beauty begins to shift into something unstable or unsettling. In my work, the body often appears fragile, excessive, or slightly distorted — not as spectacle, but as a way of revealing what sits beneath polished surface. The grotesque allows me to question idealised femininity and to work with vulnerability, intimacy, and discomfort as visual material.
At this stage, I see fashion photography as an open field of experimentation. I am still in the process of defining my approach within it, using it to test how my visual language operates in a fashion context. I am interested in the possibilities this space offers, and in how it expands the way I construct images, working intuitively and through process rather than fixed outcomes.
